How much fudge do you make in a year?
We make over 200 tons of fudge annually.

How many lbs. Of fudge are in a batch?
There are approximately 20lbs. Per batch.

Will fudge melt?
The fudge has a melting point of 240 degrees, so it will only melt if you heat it up to that temperature. Fudge may get soft in the summer heat, but it won't melt like a candy bar. If it does get soft, simply put it in a cool place (air conditioned room) and it will firm up again.

How should I store fudge?
Fudge can be kept fresh for several weeks at room temperature if wrapped correctly. It will also keep for several months if frozen.
We recommend wrapping it in wax paper and then foil and storing it in a plastic bag or container. When you are ready to thaw it, place it at room temperature completely unwrapped and allow it to sweat. Once the sheen is gone, it is ready to eat or cut and repackage for gifts if you wish.

Where are you located?
Wisconsin Dairyland Fudge is located at 216 Broadway (mid block), downtown Wisconsin Dells next to Monk's Bar and Grill.

Is your candy fresh?
We make all of our homemade candies fresh inour store. Therefore, we make only what we need at a given time so our products are continually fresh. Our candy is made in small batches and is not mass produced and stored in a warehouse for later use.

How is fudge made?
We invite you to visit one of our locations to see candy being made daily. We cook it in big copper kettles on gas fired stoves. Then the candy is poured onto a table for cooling where flavorings, chocolate, nuts are added and then mixed for all to see. This is our only kitchen for production, and we offer samples daily.

Are you open year 'round?
Wisconsin Dairyland Fudge is open from mid March until mid October from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. in the summer and 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the spring and fall. We do make candy throughout the winter specifically for any mail or web orders we receive.

How should my candy be stored after I receive it?
We recommend storing your candy at room temperature and consume it within 3-4 weeks after purchase unless you wish to freeze it for later consumption. This applies to chocolates, fudge, brittle, taffy, and caramels. It does not apply to apples, which should be consumed within 2 days and caramel corn which should not be frozen.
